About Me

I spent 11 years living in the United States and am now based in Japan, which allows me to offer translations that take cultural nuance and context into account. I also perform rakugo (traditional sit-down comedy) as a hobby, and comedy-related work is one of my strengths.
To date, I have subtitled more than 146 hours of TV dramas, feature films, university lectures, and other content, and completed over 200 English transcription projects. I also translate websites, brochures, flyers, menus, and more. Whatever the project, I aim to convey not just the literal meaning, but the intention behind the words.
